Burj al-Arab Hotel
Rated by many as the best hotel in the world, with a price tag to match, the Burj al-Arab is Dubai’s flagship hotel.
This 202 room Arabian themed luxury hotel, built on its own private island off Jumeirah beach, rates itself as a 7-star, or 5-star deluxe hotel.
Guests can be transferred to the hotel by helicopter or chauffeur driven Rolls Royce.
Opulence and indulgence are the key words with 22 carat gold leaf furniture and fittings, a spa and health club, six restaurants and bars, a two storey ballroom and 42m fountain all squeezed into the interior.
Restaurants offer a choice of European cuisine, Japanese cuisine, Arabaian cuisine, Mediterranean food and seafood in the underwater Al Manhara restaurant.
For the business traveller there are five conference suites and high speed internet access.
Each room in the Burj al-Arab is actually a large suite and prices range from around $1,000 US to $28,000 US per night depending on the time of year, averaging around $2,000 US. The hotel also boasts two world class restaurants.
The hotel is next to Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the Wild Wadi Water Park and close to the Mall of Emirates, Ski Dubai and The Palm Jumeirah.
See the Burj al-Arab website for prices and special offers.
