Jobs in Dubai
A couple of years ago Dubai was one of the world’s employment hotspots – people seeking highly rewarding jobs were drawn to the city by the lavish lifestyle and huge salaries on offer.
One of the main reasons most of Dubai’s residents are foreign nationals is because of the plentiful availability of highly lucrative jobs. The vast majority of the workforce was recruited from overseas, and although the credit crunch hit Dubai hard, this pattern is predicted to continue in the long term with ex-pat workers filling the majority of positions.
Dubai, like much of the world, was hit hard by the global recession. Many lost their jobs and ex-pats headed home in large numbers.
Although the cost of living in Dubai is high, so are salaries. Whilst the wages are not quite as generous as they once were there is still work to be found and people still flock to Dubai in search of employment.
