There are 88 public schools in Dubai and over 130 private schools.

Ministry of Education run schools in Dubai teach primarily in Arabic, with English employed as the secondary language. Most of Dubai’s private schools use English as their main language.

Although many expatriates choose to send their children abroad for their university education, there are a variety of accredited universities offering degrees from foreign universities such as Harvard, Michigan State University (MSU Dubai), Heriot-Watt University and Mahatma Gandhi University (Off-Campus Centre).
