The location of Dubai

The city of Dubai lies within the emirate of Dubai, which is one of the seven emirates which together comprise the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Dubai is located in Asia and lies on the Persian Gulf coast of the UAE.

Dubai is on the eastern Arabian Peninsula, the Persian Gulf makes up part of its western border, the emirate of Sharjah lies to the North and East, and Abu Dhabi to the south and west.

The location of Dubai using traditional longitude and latitude is:

25 degrees 16′ 10.92″ north, 55 degrees 18′ 34.2″ east

(or in decimal: 25.2697 degrees north, 55.3095 degrees east)
